Funny names

A few nights ago I was watching this programme about someone who was doing a petition for parking spaces at her workplace. She managed to get a sufficient number of signatures supporting her cause but what was funny about it was that the names that were being put down on the petition were something like: Wayne Kerr, IP Freely (this was used in the cartoon Simpson too :bgrin: ).

Clearly they were just having a laugh, but amazingly enough funny sounding names like this do exist in real life... After googling in the internet here's some of them...

Neil Down (Kneel Down)
Emma Roids (Hemorrhoids)

I'm not making a rascist joke here, but I've met one Mr. Tay Khoo Cheng (Taik Kucing). Maybe one should think carefully before naming their children.

I guess it's inevitable when sometimes a name will sound rather obscene in another language. I've a friend from Tunisia who was horrified to hear that the common Malay name "Wati" coz it means altogether different and dirty in her language...(well I'm sure many of us realise about it by now)

oh yeah... and there's a local artist who named his son after Hitler... Zami Ismail if I'm not mistaken...

His may not be a funny name, but the epitaph on orphaned LESLIE MOORE's headstone reads
"NO LES NO MOORE".... ;)

i have colleague by the name of Guan Chin Chye (guan cincai) when d real pronounce should be Guan Cin Cei sumthing like dat :bgrin:

During my school days, one of my classmate her name quite weird. AWASILAH JALANRAYA......... we tot she bluff us but then when she showed us her ic then quite hard not to laugh even tho is quite rude

kinda wierd.. she told us that Salamah was he granny name, his father added into her name becoz she was born on the same date her granny died. :kant:
