Juno (Ellen Page) is a Mid-Western highschooler, who decides one day,out of boredom or curiosity, to have sex with her friend Paulie Bleeker(Michael Cera), a member of her school's track team. She likes him wellenough, but isn't hung up on him. This one time encounter results inJuno's pregnancy. She and her best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby) decideto take control of the situation by browsing for prospective adoptiveparents in the local Pennysaver newspaper, and Juno settles onseemingly the perfect, affluent couple Mark (Jason Bateman) and VanessaLoring (Jennifer Garner) who is desperate to have a child. Junossensitive father (J.K. Simmons) and stepmother (Allison Janney) arevery supportive of her and help Juno with her decision to give the babyup for adoption. Juno and her father check out Mark and Vanessa Loringto see if they are the right couple. As time moves closer to having thebaby, Juno grows more into a woman, yet she is still a teenager withall the same problems and a few more.

cerita ni aku tgk pun pasal ade rainn wilson (alahai part dia sikit aje) dgn cast of arrested development; jason bateman with micheal cera and also all the hype about this film. but ok la. can be called this year's little miss sunshine.

petang tadi pegi tengok citer ni kat wayang. best sangat2. In 2005 kita dapat The Squid and The Whale, 2006 pulak kita dikejutkan ngan Little Miss Sunshine. 2007 is the year of Juno. Tak sangka betul banyak filem-filem kecik mendapat exposure yang meluas skarang nih, which is a good thing.

Ellen Page was brilliant, so tak terkejut ler kan dia dapat Oscar nod tuh sebab she's an amazing actress. Her performance was spot on. Hilarious, endearing and annoying at the same time. We will be seeing her climbing that A-list very very soon. Michael Cera plak, i cant seem to shake that George Michael Bluth image from him, sama ngan Jason Bateman. Both of them, aku memang asik terbayang Arrested Development. Not with Jennifer Garner though. Aku memang suka dia dalam Alias but she manage to shed that image somehow.

Tapi yang best of course the storyline. Baru terbaca yang Diablo Cody, who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay untuk citer Juno ni, dulu kerja as a stripper! Amazing stuff! But they have to start somewhere. Michael Arndt was Matthew Broderick's personal assistant sebelum dia tulis Little Miss Sunshine. Call it a hunch, but rasanya she will be taking home the statuette sebab kat Oscar got two category, Adapted and Original and her chance of winning in the Original category is pretty good.

One more thing, the soundtrack was inspired. Walaupon lagu-lagu lama, most of them aku tak penah dengar sebelum nih, tapi best-best belaka. Keluar jer dari movie tuh, terus aku terjah JB Hifi carik soundtrack citer nih. Tapi disappointed, sebab sold out! nampak sangat best. next week they will be bringing more copies and hopefully sebelum habis aku dapat secure a copy.

Kalau takde aral melintang, besok maybe tengok No Country for Old Men atau Michael Clayton, insyaAllah.

as much as i love the film, sometimes the script do border on being 'terrible'. ada beberapa dialog yang tampak 'poyo', and tries too hard to be 'hip'.

macam ayat "honest to blog?" dan beberapa lagi ayat one-liner Juno yang mcm tak kena, even cringe-inducing. so i dont think it deserves a win for original screenplay.

as a whole though, it's a very heartwarming little movie. some bad spots doesdan  not spoil a golden package. ellen page mmg best.

samalah. ntah baper kali tengok LMS. Juno ni pon ingat nak tengok banyak2 kali nanti bila dah kluar DVD dia.

aku baru nak cakap. hmmm.. citer ni mcm tak sincerela...

aku br tgk semalam... aku rasa, watak juno tu, eventhough dia nak gambarkan mcm sorang yg selamba and gila-gila, tp nampak mcm trying too hard la... hmm...

kalau movie-movie yg patern mcm ni, aku lg prefer once compare dgn juno. pelik gak, apsal once tak tercalon oscar?
