Yes, Ghost memang bagus untuk backup/restore komputer seperti sedia kala.
U boleh dapat Ghost melalui torrent, ataupun PM I.
PM le dia mintak, orang dah offer tu kan..atau kalau ko nak aku pun ada.

Sebagaimana semua dah sebut di atas, memang boleh buat copy and 'clone'kan ke PC2 lain... tapi only 95% boleh kalau guna XP... kat ofis aku ni haritu kitaorang beli10 PCs... hardware specs semua sama. XP licence pun ada 10 (semua ori). Tapi sebab nak cepat, kitaorang clone jer first one, then letak kat yg 9 tu... ada satu XP taknak start - katanya ada security error (2 kali cuba same result)... hanya boleh start bila kitaorang buat fresh install.

SID error ke? we clone hundreds of desktops and laptops using single image, and never encountered any security error.

Yup, SID error... pelik sungguh sebab never happened before. Heck, when I had the new PC, I made an image of my old PC and installed it on the new box with different hardware specs and apart from having to reinstall some drivers, the OS worked!. Beats me... |

SID = security identifier... ni security MS mula introduce ngan XP... cara dia taknak ko install satu copy of XP kat banyak2 PCs. System ni is based on hardware ko... katakan ko install kat PC A, XP akan letak security identifier based on hardware sekarang, then buat image and cuba install kat PC B... walhal PC B tu nyer HDD lain capacity, RAM dia lebih dan dia guna lain soundcard, then XP takkan berfungsi kat PC B. Even kalau PC A tu ko upgrade, ko takleh upgrade lebih dari 2 hardware sekali gus... dia akan KO kalau ko buat gitu... kacau tul MS ni.  |

yeah, i know. it worked for me before, load an image on a pc that have specs a little bit different than the orignal pc.
anyway, for SID case, you need to use sysprep from microsoft (run sysprep once you're ready to image the original PC and before you shut it down). with sysprep, when you load an image to new pc, you can configure it in such a way that it will reset SID of orignal PC and you'll also be able to rename the PC to different name - no conflict whatsoever. what happen with sysprep is, when you load an image, the first reboot, it will go through few questions like when you install it from scratch. you can hardcoded some of the common entries (such as company name, admin name/password, etc.). it takes few seconds only.

Betul tu, burn ke DVD lebih baiklah, sebab kalau burn ke CDR terpaksa guna 3 hingga
ke 5 cd bergantung pada size Backup. |

Cara Guna Ghost Software
Software Norton Ghost tu check ur inbox, kalau ada masalah download bagitau, jangan diam aje.
1) Selepas ko install Ghost, buat pilihan seperti di bawah..destination tu ko pilih Ext Disk, sebab
ko bagitau nak backup kat sana kan. Tapi lebih baik backup ke DVD sebab ko nak bawak
kehulu kehilir pulak Ext HD tu..size backup dia bergantung berapa banyak ko nak backup
aku buat tak lebih 3GB, muatla tu untuk satu DVD.
2) Selepas tu run backup now. Bila dah habis backup..ok siap..
3) Cara recover pulak..bila ko dah connect Ext HD ko kat PC yang ko nak buat Ghost.
Cari file Norton Backup dan pilih recover.
