Unless Pak Beruang bersedia let go kan Sovearmny class (betul ke aje!!!)diorang yang sedia ada. Tak perlu beruang pun takpe asal boleh butter-trade. Do not forget Indonesia has alot of commodity to offer.

Pada aku ler.....kiternyer F2000 class light frigate tu pun OK.

The only thing is for the g'ment to upgrade the existing AD capability to be able to give further AD umbrella to our fleet.

SEAWOLF tu is a Point Defence AD System. Kiter need AD like ASTER 30 version etc which give more kilometer......:)

And not to forget......with enough quantity...not 16!!!! at least 32 per ship.

In terms of weaponary & agility, aku still rasa our LAKSAMANA class corvette still the best in the region currently.

The sigma Corvettes look impressive but like aircraft also its whats fitted inside that counts... inclusive of the crew...

for a patrol corvette will do la Mat...as for their sailors, i wouldn't look down on them...what do you think?

I had read and agree that buying a bigger ship (frigate class at least) with FFBNW systems and a high-degree of automation is much better for us than buying smaller corvette class ships. Crew and weapons can be added as needed. A larger platform provides more space for weapons, larger radars, longer endurance and better seakeeping qualities for bluewater missions. TheFFBNW concept is great for lowering cost without lowering quality and viability.

but you have to ask yourself...which country in the region really operates on the basis of bluewater...have to tailor our purchases to our needs...anyway denmark has proven that the concept of FFBNW works for platforms of all sizes...

We do not need bluewater now, but who is to say about the future? But let's forget about this. Let's talk about firepower and sensors. It's still a valid fact that a larger hull equates to more firepower and better sensor coverage.

The key, my friend, is potential. Small hulls have none.

agreed...but do we have money to have a 5000 ton hull fitted with a main gun for 10 years in a patrol role...even the Kedah class pun orang komplen as underfitted walaupun main role is for patrol...to find the proper fit will be a difficult art and science for our naval planners..

Well, of course we do. We just need to somehow keep those sharks away.
