Terengganu To Build Two New Bridges At A Cost Of RM400 Million
KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 30 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu government will build two new bridges next year, with an allocation of RM400 million, to tackle the congestion problems on the Sultan Mahmud Bridge here.
State Infrastructure Development and Public Amenities Committee chairman Yahya Khatib Mohamad said one of the bridges would be built across the Terengganu River which would connect Kampung Teluk Pasu-Pulau Sekati-Muzium in Losong.
"The other one will be built across Nerus River near here, which will connect Kampung Jeram and Kampung Jeram Tokong.
"Each bridge will be approximately 1.5 kilometres long and will cost about RM200 million," he told reporters after attending the state executive council weekly meeting here Wednesday.
At present, Yahya said the state government was in the midst of appointing the consultant for the project, while the parallel configuration works were running smoothly.
Both bridges would be built with four traffic lanes and are expected to be completed in three years, he added.

Siapkan dulu projek LPT yang 'behind the schedule' tu. Kawan saya yg kerja dgn kontraktor projek ni kabo projek LPT ni banyak masalah. Projek ni dah bertahun2 masih tak siap. Begitu juga projek Kolej Matrikulasi Terengganu kat Marang. Kenapa tak disegerakan pembinaannya. Bukankah kolej matrikulasi ni utk kepentingan anak2 melayu. |

Kalau highway brsalut emas, mau time tu aku dah jadi warga emas, tak larat dah nak drive. Pemimpin2 ni selalu naik flight je, sebab tu tak prihatin pasal highway ni.
Sekrg pulak jln byk berlubang lepas musim tengkujuh ni, jln satu lorong nak memotongpun payah. Pemimpin pun asyik dok dlm negeri terengganu aje, so tak nampak negeri2 lain dah maju dari segi highway, ie PLUS, LEKAS, NKVE, DUKE,LPT Kuantan/KL. Asyik2 dok ulang Besut/Kuala Terengganu/Kemaman. Zaman Idris Jusoh walaupun byk kroni, tp projek tetap jalan, walaupun ada yg runtuh.... he he |
